I saw this one at AMDZone. It is a report at TheInquirer about how the current weak economy would favor the Opteron because it is inexspensive, and it is about time for companies to start upgrading which last did it 3 years ago at the beginning of the dot.com bust.

VIA EPIA V9000

Envy News has an article posted on the VIA EPIA V9000 motherboard. The VIA EPIA V9000 is a VIA Cyrix board with a integrated VIA Cyrix 3 933MHz CPU on it. This is a good board to have if all you are doing is business work (general workstation work - Word/Excel/Powerpoint stuff) or surfing the net.

Albatron KM18G Pro nForce2

I saw this on [VR-Zone Hardware]. It is a new nForce2 based board from Albatron. It has 3PCI slots, 1 AGP 8x slot, and dual channel DDR supporting DDR400 and also supports the 333FSB. It is also AMD Barton ready as well. I think I would consider a board like this because it only has 3PCI slots and I only currently use 1 PCI slot for my modem. I would prefer a board from ABIT like this.

Features of board:

Intel to Deter Overclocking?

I've seen this on the net for a little bit. It entails on a new patent that has been created by Intel that is supposed to reduce performance of the CPU if it detects that it has been overclocked. Pretty stupid I think, and it possibly might kill Intel's most dedicated computer users wanting to buy an Intel CPU. Maybe this will help AMD at the same time.
